How I Help

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine and collaborative relationship. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and practical. I focus on helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work toward what matters most to you.

I see therapy as a place not only to talk about what feels hard, but also to create a clearer picture of what you want life to look like when things are better. My goal is to help you identify your best hopes for therapy, notice signs of progress, and recognize how small steps can lead to meaningful change.

My work is especially informed by Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also drawing from other therapeutic approaches that may be helpful depending on your needs, goals, and preferences.

Solution-Focused Therapy helps us identify what is already working and build from there. Even during difficult times, there are often moments that feel a little lighter, resources you can draw from, and small signs of progress that can be easy to overlook. This approach focuses on helping you clarify your best hopes for the future and move toward meaningful change.

DBT offers practical tools for navigating intense emotions, stressful situations, and relationship challenges. I often incorporate DBT-informed skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills can help you respond with greater awareness, move through difficult moments more effectively, and feel more confident in yourself.
